Fat bike beach tips
- Check the beach forecast and tides ! Avoid days with storms, large swells, and extreme high tides. Know the beaches you are riding and make sure you have enough beach to safely ride.
- Lower tides are often best with more beach access and more hard packed sand.
- Check with local bike shops for information on local beaches and when and where to safely ride.
- We recommend riding in the mornings if the tides cooperate, or on days when the wind is light and variable. Riding against the wind can be difficult!
- Rinse your bike with fresh water after every beach ride to help protect your bike from the the elements.
