Oregon Coast’s 20 Miracle Miles
The 20 Miracle Miles was a beautiful stretch of coastline that started at Otis Junction and ended at Otter Crest just north of Depoe Bay. This amazing stretch of coastline was part of an advertising campaign called the 20 Miracle Miles that started in the 1950’s and ended in the early 1970’s. The 20 Miracle Miles was a collaborative effort to promote tourism along the beautiful central Oregon coast.
What happened to the 20 Miracle Miles?
Although the advertising campaign ended in the 1970’s… the 20 miracle miles are still alive and well! This amazing stretch of coastline still draws visitors from all over the world! A short drive from Salem and Portland help to make this area easily accessible to visitors.
What’s Included in the 20 Miracle Miles
This incredible 20 mile stretch of coastline begins with Otis Junction, and Lincoln City. Lincoln City was once 5 smaller city’s ( Oceanlake, Delake, Nelscott, Taft, and Cutler City) that were annexed into one. Heading North is the Siletz Bay, Gleneden Beach, Boiler Bay, Depoe Bay, Whale Cove and ending near the top of Otter Crest just north of Depoe Bay.
