King Tides 2025

The first round of the King Tides arrived on the Oregon Coast November 5th-7th and did not disappoint!

Onlookers lined the cliffs in awe in Depoe Bay as 18-20 foot surf exploded onto the shoreline! The King Tides mixed with a High Surf advisory gave spectators exactly what they came for!

HOW TO SAFELY VIEW KING TIDES

Stay off beaches and jetties as sneaker waves can be life threatening! Stay behind fences and barriers, and obey all warning signs!

Don't venture out on rocks, jetties, or cliffs to get a close up view. Rocks are often slippery and sneaker waves may travel much further than you expect.

You want to stay back and watch from a safe elevated distance. Look for scenic viewpoints at high elevations away from cliffs where surges can wash in.
